Introduction
Dialysis is an option that most patients diagnosed with renal failure go for, at least initially. However, it is not a cure. The renal function is such that no dialysis machine can compensate it fully.
In the long term, a kidney transplant is the only solution. Kidney transplant can be Cadaveric (where a kidney from a dead person’s body is transplanted into a patient who has a kidney failure) or Live-related (where a live, related donor donates a kidney to a patient). However, finding a live-related donor for donating a kidney may not always be easy. |
